The Sassafras band scored big when pre-recorded material on Channel 3 TV was used for a 30-minute show. But it was quick and pesonal when they were asked to play in Frankfort at the openng of a Senate session -- and received two standing ovations. They and a bunch of their friends was the band for Music Ranch's fifth Saturday show April 29, 2006. They also opened for Leroy Troy Sunday April 2 at 2 p.m. The summer of 2006 saw them all over the area as headliners at bluegrass shows. With an agent, they claim some heady fees!
